Faith-driven men are facing a crisis of confusion and compromise, with cultural pressures eroding biblical masculinity. Men lack a clear vision for their identity, work, and purpose, leading to passive and accidental lives. Join a community of faith-driven men dedicated to living out their calling with courage and conviction. Vigilant is where men of faith come together to sharpen one another, grow in their walk with Christ, and lead with integrity in every area of life.

What is Vigilant?

Vigilant’s strategy is built on an online membership community focused on three key pillars: Coaching, Content, and Community.-Coaching offers personalized guidance to help you grow.
-Content provides practical resources tailored for faith-driven men.
-Community fosters deep connections and support, empowering you to live with purpose and strength.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Our guiding question:
Men, what does it mean to live a life that yields to God's calling and lordship over us?
Many men's ministries rely on:Guilt
Shame
Manipulation
A "man-up" culture
But real transformation comes from discipleship, which requires an environment of high challenge and high support.Challenge and Support.
Men thrive in an environment where they are both challenged and supported—this is true discipleship.
A Clear Mission.
Men need a mission and a clear roadmap to follow.
CORE Communities
Our goal is to form tight-knit groups where men can gather regularly with 3-5 others, pressing in together as disciples of Jesus. These groups focus on practicing the most neglected commands, disciplines, and practices of the Christian life, including confession, prayer, encouragement, and accountability.
Formation.
We lean into the question, who are you becoming? Growth in godliness and a space to level up your faith, focus, and fulfillment.

Meet Dylan

At 40, I found myself in a place I never imagined—jobless, homeless, and struggling to find direction. My life was a mess. The first blow came when I lost a job I deeply loved, leading a poverty reduction initiative for a city. I was crushed; it was unexpected and left me reeling. Ironically, I lived in one of the neighborhoods we focused on for the project. I was a thought leader, making a difference, and deeply invested in my work. Losing that position felt like losing a part of myself. To regain stability, my wife and I sold our home and moved in with her parents. I was in a new role at an innovative health startup, and I began to feel back on track. But just as I thought I was moving forward, life took another unexpected turn. In 2021, my position at the startup was eliminated. Once again, I was left jobless, applying for unemployment, and with nowhere else to turn, I found myself back in a restaurant kitchen, working as a cook for the first time in 15 years. It wasn’t part of the plan—far from it. Working in the restaurant was humbling. It was a blow to my pride to be back in my hometown, flipping eggs and cleaning fryers, while people I once mentored asked me, “What are you doing here?”I found myself justifying my existence, reminding myself of my degrees, past leadership roles, and accomplishments. Yet, there I was, questioning everything and feeling like I should be much further along in life.Amidst this struggle, another challenge emerged—my health. In 2020, I noticed my eyesight was worsening. Despite getting glasses for the first time, my vision remained blurry. After multiple appointments, I received a diagnosis I never expected—cataracts. I couldn’t believe it. In 2021 I had both eyes done. I was the youngest patient scheduled for surgery the week of my first eye. Not the trophy I was looking for.It felt like everything was falling apart—a rollercoaster of job loss, financial stress, feelings of inadequacy, and now declining health. I was stuck in a scarcity mentality, feeling alone and overwhelmed. But in those moments of vulnerability, something shifted within me. I realized that my identity was not rooted in what I did, but in who I was in Christ. I remembered the shift that had occurred years earlier when I began to study and learn about God’s plans and purposes for work. Instead of succumbing to self-pity, I chose a different path—a WorkShift, if you will.I decided to show up and serve, not just in the restaurant but in the lives of those around me. I listened to their stories, shared in their pains and dreams, and dedicated myself to making a difference, no matter how small. I moved from shame to gratitude, from a fixed to a growth mindset. I realized that even in my weakest moments, God was at work, refining me, and teaching me to rely on Him more fully.I started Live by Design- a gospel centered life plan process to move from accidental to intentional living.Later I went on to start Lead by Design. A newsletter and coaching program for faith-driven leaders.I eventually landed a new full-time job helping high-net worth individuals do more with their philanthropic dollars.Today I also co-lead Elevate Northeast, a leadership development company that helps build healthy and high-performing teams. And am learning about starting a Holding Company along with some friends called AXIA.
These experiences have shaped my mission with Vigilant. I believe that every man needs to confront the areas of his life that feel out of control—whether it’s work, health, or self-worth—and see them as opportunities to trust God and grow in resilience. We’re not alone in this journey, and through community and faith, we can find clarity, purpose, and strength. Vigilant is about standing firm in the face of adversity, embracing our God-given identity, and walking together as men of faith.
